Longitudes are the vertical lines that connects north and south poles. The simple trick is to:

Remember that 'O' is common in LOngitude, NOrth and SOuth.

The Langitude will obviously be the opposite ( horizonal lines connecting east and west), so you don't need any separate trick to remember it.
